My 2009 LX570 w/ 202k miles started making this sound today. I did a visual check under the vehicle and don't see anything obvious. CV boots are good. Skid plates are tight. The sound doesn't appear to be coming from any specific wheel/corner. EquLly loud on both sides. It is not speed dependent. It does it on the pavement and dirt. It mostly went away when I put the suspension in high mode. I've been running around Bear's Ears the last few days collecting dust and driving some washboard stuff. I'm a decent driveway mechanic for the motor, but have little experience with suspension and driveline. Any suggestions where to start?

Maybe spend $10 or so at the local car wash and give the underneath as good a bath as you can?

I'm guessing you may have picked up a pebble or excessive dirt?

Thanks much. Just left the car wash in Green River and problem solved at least for now. My wife and I have been solo over landing for the last 9 days so it's a relief to figure this out before our long drive home across I-70.

Ok, check that. Noise came back quickly. Heading home tomorrow and will drop the skid plates and do a proper spray of the underside of the truck. Seems to drive just fine. No vibrations or anything noticeable except for the annoying noise.

In the video it sounds a lot like a belt tensioner pulley bearing to me. But super hard to to diag just from that.
