I used the 231mm.
They require some trimming of the dust shield.
They fit in my factory 16" alloys, but to @weejub s point, this isn't true for all the stock rims. T4R or one of the other forums has a thread on which rims fit with which tundra brakes.

Thanks. Maybe I can test fit my wheels one someone's 199m brakes. I didn't think there was a clearance issue with those and 16" wheels. I have some 16" fj cruiser wheels.

Yep. Thanks for the video. I've watched that one several times in the past.

I used 231 as well. Very close on the factory wheel but no rubbing after some dust shield trim work.

From what I have heard/read . . the 231's are a big upgrade the 199's are marginal/small upgrade. I never had an issue with my stock brakes on my old vehicles, but I never had them in really tough spots and tested them.

My ultimate goal had nothing to do with brake power, just wanted to get a thick enough rotor that I could leave the days of warped rotors behind. Success.

^x2
But I am happy with th improved braking modulation.

So which weekend works well? If you're looking at some time in November, maybe early November, my schedule should be open for hosting a HAMOM.

I am open the weekend of October 24-25. I believe i could also do the first (7th, 8th) or second weekend of November (14th, 15th)

@GLTHFJ60 not sure if you remember but you left a card on my old green tacoma outside of building 9 at Cisco. I'm in building 11 now and see your rig parked in the hybrid/alternative fuel parking spot. I bet you get a lot of WTH looks huh?

Hey, awesome! I do remember that! I do get a bunch of WTH looks, but that gives me an opportunity to explain to people what biodiesel is :D

Let's set a tentative date for November 7th or 8th.

:D I have been thinking - for a while now - about a bumper sticker for the 44 that says "Greener than your Prius."
I'd place it right above the tailpipe.

Crap. Other half just informed me the 7th-8th might not work. I'll confirm and reply back

Confirmed. I can't do the 7th/8th. Can we move to the 14th/15th?

Unfortunately no. That overlaps with the portsmouth island trip.

December 11/12?

Dec 11/12 works for me.

Just throwing out other options as well. I'm also free Nov 1st, and 22nd as well

What floor, I'm on the 4th, but only go in about once or twice a week anymore.

We're going to need to find a Saturday to do this HAMOM on so in case something goes wrong, we have an extra day to sort it out. That's worst case scenario.

Nov 21 is a Uwharrie work day. October 31 is Halloween. I'll have to check with the mrs, but we usually do something on Halloween.

I'll put December 12 down on my calendar. I'm pumped!
