The top of the joint isn't finished or sealed metal, so just need to hit it with some Rusto when you install, all good. Quality wise, I did all 4 a year ago, they've been awesome. Boots are in great shape.

I'll throw this out there:

Factory lower control arm goes for $275 at an online Toyota retailer. That includes one bushing (aka Bushing No. 1) and lower BJ, installed. Not a bad deal considering.

$550 for 2 control arms vs. $150 for 2 ball joints and OEM bushings. I'll save the $400. Unless you're arms damaged, no reason to replace it, they don't rust out.
