I got pulled over for a brake light being out, so I thought I'd buy LEDs and upgrade. Now when I step on the brakes, all the running lights, dash lights, etc turn on! ha - lucky me, i hit the jackpot.
So I got load resistors, but I'm a noob when it comes to electrical - will this fix my issue, and if so, I know they get hot, so where can I mount them?

My name is Jeffrey to!

The load resistor depending on what size you got should get you back in to the resistance range that was there before you swapped to the LED's. Ideally this should get you close to where everything was and stop your problem.

As for placement, it needs to be on the 12 volt wire that goes into the light, before the light. Hope that made sense. For physically mounting the resistor to the truck your best bet is to mount it to metal away from anything that could be sensitive to heat.
