new member from Europe, France. So excuse for my poor english!!!
I drive, for ten years now, a diesel 4,2l 24v 80 landcruiser. First hand, 140 000KM. Plenty of good souvenirs, through Sahara. Equipment: Winch, additionalTank 160l, OME springs, Proflex shocks.
And an Intercooler with pump fitted (turbo original) for now 3 monthes: very good pleasure beetween 1200rpm and more.
I've just have 2 problem in the 80 life!
First: rear locker flashing, and now no response to the problem. It's planned to open it.
Second: code 71 (egr) since ICooler.

Wow, I saw those pics before somewhere. They're great. Is that in Libya or Algeria? And btw, how many km can you drive with your extra tank between fillups?

it's located in south west of libya, AKAKUS area.
Principal tank=95liters + Additional tank=160liters make 255liters!
On the road or trail, 12l/100km; On sand between 13 and 22 l/100KM.
For every day, i keep 50liters in the additional tank, it's more confortable for passenger and the tank is in activity. For travel or Raid, i fill what i need.

Second: code 71 (egr) since ICooler.

Code 71 is common, either clean the carbon off the EGR sensor or if that does not help replace the EGR modulator.

Welcome and Nice truck.. question though. Where did you get the hood with built in scoop? I assume it is not factory, and it is fiberglass because of the hood pins?

yes, the hood is fiberglass, made by http://www.compositesvalley.com/
as the ICooler kit. I put pins for security.
