Hi there guys.

Right I'm wanting to get some info on replacing my ring and pinion from the stock one I have at the moment to something bigger . How do I find out what is on the car already ? Plus if I put 33 tyre size on my car would I have to put in heavy duty axles to take the load currently I have 275 by 85 . Plus which company could provide the stuff I need .
I have a 2011 swb v6 4.0 vvti manual gearbox

All hello will be much appreciated

Unless you're doing some seriously gnarly rock crawling I'm pretty sure the standard axles are fine. I think the new 70s have the 10 mm studs and dowels so you don't need to upgrade there.
If you want to change ratios to compensate for bigger tyres, I think there must be a few places that supply gears for the new models now

Well i usually use it for dessert crossing which involves us driving across the desert for 2 or more days whrich include climbing dunes and having fun don't do much rock crawling . Would one day like to get it set up for river crossings but not yet .

I have put on jba headers plus borla exhaust unichip cold air intake and throttle body space and it has 2 inch lift kit with 16x10 wheels with rear spacers
Future plans inlude role cage and super charger trd .

I'm gathering that I'm running bigger wheel and tyres I'm losing some power as to the stock ring and pinion not being design for the bigger type set up

I run 35"s on LJ' (2) and BJ75 since 2004 and no issue apart from replacing the wheel bearings every year or 2. I have gone through 3 front axles (lockers) on the BJ75 and this beast carries 800+kg into the jungle effortlessly.

I have gone through 1 rear DIFF in a 13B-T power LJ77 thats due to the massive 1.5bar of boost and my heavy foot.

I see no reason to toughen up the DIFFS at all yet.

Ok guys much appreciated all the input will consider what I do next as I'm no rush.

I have another Q I have a set of suspension front are ome coils and shocks and rear is ironman leafs and shock as I love the hight of the car BUT I don't like the stability as it is easy to roll over . Is there any other set up I could get a lower lift kit the one I currently have is 2 inch plus the tyres probably give me roughly 1. Inch

But wouldn't that involve replacing the diffs . I ready have spacers on the rear dif to compensate for the width difference btw the front and rear dif

Yeah, new diffs, wheel spacers or offset wheels.

The Original differential is fine it can take the 33" tires easy, I would change the wheels to make them wider, also the ironman is to soft (in my Opinon) and it gives you the sensation of inestability.
Just my 2 cents....

Yeah that's what I have been thinking just to get wider wheels .i currently have 16x10 do you think. 16 x12.5 with 33 on will be ok for the diff to handle bare in mind I want to supercharge the beast plus of the size is ok where could I get a set with the width and offset for it .

Much appreciated guys
I'm so confused cuz we don't have much for the 70 series out hear mostly the market is jeep

Oh one more thing I did used to have front coils an shocks which wear ironman but they wear too hard every pebble could be felt driving divi went for Arb ome medium setup in the front and it I softer and much more comfortable for driving .

I mean by the looks of it your into your competitions so what set up should I have for front soft or hard for extreme sand dunning

With the gas v6 yes you will likely want to regear. We offer 4.30 and 4.88 nitro gears for the late model 70 series. Email and we can set you up with what you need
