Heater Controll Bulb

I changed a bad bulb in the heater controll and there is one bulb missing.
Should there be 3 bulbs in it?
I only had one replacment bulb.

I replace the botton bulb and it did nothing to help light the heater controlls.
What does the bulbs do?
ANyone have a pic of the controlls in the dark with the dash lights on?
Does the hot cold slide light up?
I tested the bulb befor I installed it.

All 3 bulbs have a function. The bottom bulb provides backlight to the fan speed selector buttons. I cannibalized the bulbs out of an old factory radio when one of mine went out.

There might be a reason someone removed one of the bulbs and the other one id burned out.
