My heater blower for 85 LJ70 suddenly stopped working. I did checked the breaker & tested & it's working fine. I removed The heater blower to see if contacts are the problem but there are okey. I tested the blower directly in a 12v battery also works fine. the blower does not respond at all in any level of the switch. Any body knows if there is a relay for this truck or any other things I shld do. Thanks

Did you reset the circuit breaker ? Usually this occurs when the CB is "disengage". Take a look closer...

Another thing, use a test light on the the blower wire to see if there's electricity

i used test light on the blower wire no electrical current. How do you reset the CB. I don't know if i did it correctly. I've used a pin & push it in the hole. Is that right?

yes. you have to push to the "bottom"

this link can help : http://manualrepair.free.fr/LJ70_RJ70_chassis_body.pdf

thanks for the link. I did tried resetting the CB. Tested the blower relay it's fine. Switch is also fine I did test the blower resistor as per FSM & i don't have continuity on 1 & 2 . But i think if the reisitor is bad shld I be able run at High speed or not? Do you know the P/n of the blower resistor? is it the same as 85 BJ70?

yes it is possible that the restor be bad if it works just high.

for the part # you can check here : ToyoDIY.com

a resistor can also be found in afthermarket

Finaly, some resistor can be found in different landcruiser model.. for exemple, I replaced my 1985 BJ70 resistor and blower motor from a 2003 HZJ79

I check for the part # and yes, BJ70 and LJ70 is the same part # 87138-90K00

Then I search on standart motor product web site and I find this : RU-242 : Standard Engine Management

thanks again David*70 about the p/n. I checked the OEM & there aboutt $60 CAD. The after market RU-242 from standard Engine where do you get them. I called NAPA & other's but don't carry this item.

Try BWD : RU942 (BWD Automotive)

I'm sure you can find this resistor in another Toyota vehicule in a junkyard. Ask to your Toyota dealer for p/n cross reference.
