I recently started having problems pushing the rear AC button on the panel so I decided to order the part. After a few tries at the dealer, I thought I got the right button. So I proceeded to try to put it in. Come to find out that the actual button is soldered on the electronic board. So ordering the button wasn't the solution. In finding out about the button soldered on the board, I noticed that in the row of soldered buttons, there's one that is not being used because on the main dash it's just blank. Does anyone know what this button is used for. I was thinking of switching the soldered unused button for the rear AC button. (OR get the outer button and replace the blank button if that button is another option that I wasn't aware of). Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks

That explains the 2 led bulbs next to it. So do you have to push the button once or twice to indicate Rear Hi or Lo? On yours, what does that do? I'm figuring they removed the button because it was redundant since the user in the back can program the Heat setting.

IIRC it controls an open plug under the driver's seat if you want to put it to a different use. Don't know that it will help out your current situation. They removed the buttons because of the overhead rear HVAC panel. We now just have the rear master switch up front, control is from the rear overhead.

Hmm, interesting. I may look into powering something up. I have to look for that plug and find out if it has a 12v wire in it. Thanks for the help
