Erik,

What type (not size) of wire are you using?

Thanks

GPT automotive wire.

I should add that GPT wire is rated up to 175 degrees Fahrenheit. The harness is designed to route the wire along the perimeter of the engine compartment and it should never be in close proximity to the exhaust or the radiator. I have felt the wires after running my FJ62 and the wires have been warm to the touch but never hot, so I believe that GPT wire is adequate. If you were going to run wires close to the exhaust or next to the radiator or heater hoses, you would want to use SXL wiring which is rated at about 250 degrees F.

How's production going Sir? Looking forward to some brighter lights. Thanks.

Sent an email a few days ago. The anticipation, or a deer, might kill me, lol.

Ultimate Harness

What is your price for a FJ40 Ultimate Harness? What are the adapters for stock headlights? Thanks

Got mine the other day.

Very impressive construction and attention to detail. It has a worthy right to be in the engine bay of a Land Cruiser.

Great customer support and tech documentation as well.

Got my harness and auxiliary box on 11/27/13. Thanks so much for the outstanding customer service. Your product is top quality. Erik is an awesome guy to work with. He's slammed with orders but still takes the time to provide customer service that is extremely rare in the market place today. I'm very happy to do business with you. Thanks for the consideration, time, and effort.

Great harness. Installed it with some upgraded Busdepot.com H4s and it's definitely brighter. Easy install in my 1983 FJ60. One question; Is there a specific place on an FJ60 that this bolts in? I couldn't find anything that matched up. It would've been icing on the harness if it bolted into some existing threaded holes in the fender wall. I ended up mounting it flat using an old hole, and a new one, drilled in my wheel well.

I assume you're making the brackets, so could they be made with a few holes or slots to allow for bolting into holes on different years of inner fenders/supports?

Or maybe I just missed something...

You can see here how it lines up with one factory threaded hole on the left, but would need one added on the right. This is on the passenger side, right behind the battery.

Erik, did you get the 70 series wiring diagram I sent you to see if the 60 series unit will work?

Sent from my interwebz doo-dad

Ah, that makes sense with the brackets. Guess the only other thing worth mentioning is that you need hardware to install the bracket. I had just enough random nuts/bolts/washers sitting around. I believe the hole is 5/16 in diameter. Always good to avoid yet another trip to the hardware store if you can.
