LC 200 ‘14, Low beams after 20 seconds start flickering eventually they get dimmer. I have cleaned and swapped out the fuses. I have swapped out the relay. Both sides are acting up. Both pigtail plugs wouldn’t become loose simultaneously. Anyone have insight or must I go to the dealer?

How are the other lights in the truck? If it’s only the low beams L/R then it’s almost certainly a corroded connector in the wiring to those bulbs that heats up as the lights operate. Trace back the wires to each bulb until you reach a common connector leading to the bulbs and clean it up. If not that connector, keep going upstream until you find it. That’s all i got! (Assuming the fuse and relay connectors are clean.).

Just a shot in the dark (pun intended), but if both my headlights started flickering, I'd first want to confirm the health of the battery and alternator.
New battery last week. Fluttering before the battery died and after new install. Did check that the battery was bad to help Eliminate possible bad alternator.

Both bulbs flutter, can’t see two doing the same thing and going bad simultaneously. Maybe Im incorrect, but no haven’t changed them out.
May be worth checking / trying, this could be the cause. After picking mine up I noticed it had a very faint flicker sometimes which hasn't gotten worse so I have left it alone, but did some searching on it which point to the bulbs or ballasts being the likely culprit.

Talked with dealership, two shop guys, one parts guy. All want to replace bulbs and or ballasts ( unsure of how many ballasts there are). If two ballasts, both going bad together, hard to imagine. Ballasts not sold separately, must replace entire headlight setup. To me, not the correct road to travel for a repair. Moved on....
Went to private garage. They will trace voltage back from bulbs until they find an error in the system.
Seems like the proper idea.
That’s where I am. If any other ideas, shoot them over.

Bulbs might be cheaper than their diagnosis. Either buy one to test or a pair. I'm itching to try out a set of Osram CBB on my 200.

Opening an old thread as my 2020 HE started with a very slight headlight flicker a few weeks ago which turned into a major flicker while on a road trip from Connecticut to Wisconsin this past week. Got so bad that other drivers thought I was a cop pulling them over. Anyway, only 8k miles on the LC which seems way too soon for bulbs to be bad. Will take to dealership since under warranty and see what they recommend.

If it isn't flickering when you take it in, they won't do anything. Take a video you can show them, if it's intermittent.

Interested to hear the outcome of this because if I recall correctly the LED headlights found on the 2016+ require the entire headlight assembly to be changed
Correct. And because of the LED technology they technically don’t “burn out” in anything approaching the lifetime of a vehicle.. clearly there is a defect here.

Update on this issue; after a few (4) dealership visits that included replacing a headlight relay (didn't fix issue), they finally found water inside one of the headlight switches (they have no idea how water got in this) and ended up getting authorization from Toyota to replace the entire wiring harness (2 plus days). They asked me if I had power washed my engine compartment (no) or had any other water related submersions (no). My understanding is they have never seen water penetrate the wiring harness and were shipping my old one out to California to see if they could determine how it happened. Not sure what to make of this but for now I'm guessing it was just a fluke and hoping this issue doesn't reappear.

Water damage, no way, never in a Toyota, lol.
