I bot new oem headlight assemblies last year for my 2000 lc and they were awesomeness maximized. A true rendition of beauty! Problem is, i suppose the opening where the bulb twists in is just enough to allow humidity and airborne dust to enter the assembly and it has done just that. I can remove the headlight and the bulb and pour a solution of cleaner inside and swirl it around but is there something easier i can do to get that film of crud out?

Thanks

After cleaning I would do several final rinses with distilled water to reduce the chance of water spots and internal corrosion on the reflector surfaces from mineral contaminants in regular water.

Another option (but require more work) than buying new OEM is to bake open the headlight and retrofit a projector with HID. I think the light output would be better than new OEM headlight.

I've attached a cotton ball to a coat hanger and wipe out inside through bulb hole. Being very careful not to touch wire to inside, as it scratches very easy. Making sure all dust is removed first.
