Just curious, I looked through other threads for info but nothing I read addressed this. Is it possible to buy all parts necessary from Lexus to replace the oem nav from the 14-21 gx to the current CarPlay capable one?

Even if you have to replace most of the column? I wouldn’t mind doing all of it, if it was all oem parts.

No. Different connectors & different ECU/BCM programming as well as the physical interior pieces themselves. It would take much more effort and money to do the swap versus just buying one of these units that plugs in to the factory head unit that had carplay / android auto.

Seems it may be easier and cheaper to just go with one of the aftermarket options. At least you'll get instructions, all the wiring and fasteners, along with tech support.
You won't get any of that if you try and do a "model upgrade" to your system.
I believe MrTorgue has done it.
Check Acrads latest post, there's also an install video so you can get an idea of what all it'll take to git-er dun: Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto from Beatsonic for '10-'21 GX 460 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/wireless-apple-carplay-android-auto-from-beatsonic-for-10-21-gx-460.1304514/

Good to know, I have been looking but the some seem a bit cheap, in the sense it looks like it would only work in the advertisement. Thanks I’ll check out MrTorgue.
