Just wondering what wiring harness kit you use for the head unit in a 97. I bought a Schooche kit and it said for non amplified Cruisers only. It has 2 plugs. No one can seem to find one that fits a 97 (all their kits at stereo shops say 96 and back.)

go to circuit city or best buy...they will have the wiring harness kit needed for the LC....they'll look up a chart and give you the right one....

in 97 the antenna is also powered by the radio. my wiring kit didn't include that wire in it. Since some have hooked up that wire by mistake and had problems when operating the radio I'd think that the wiring harness for your truck is available.

It is available. I have bought 2 from Toyota for my 60s. It is called a theft replacement harness.
