I have a '95 4Runner with stock headlamps (9004's I believe) and am tired of not being able to see worth a darn at night or in the rain. I had done the IPF upgrade on my FJ60, and I have the IPF upgraded headlamps and harness on my FZJ80. I can't say enough good things about the IPF's. My one complaint is that they don't have one for the 9004's. It appears that having a '91 to '95, one gets screwed (under powered with no TRD help and bad lights) :'(. All kinds of mods for the older models, and the '96 up have been greatly enhanced.

Has anyone done a headlamp upgrade on their 4Runner or have any good ideas?

Thanks

Ron, curious, what IPF's did your replace your 80 series headlights with? AFIAK there is no replacement lamp for the 80's. IPF makes H-4 style round and rectangular lamps.

Perhaps he means bulbs and a harness...

I thought Cristo made an upgraded light harness for the 80's...

? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I suspect you are right. Yeah Slee has the harness for the 9006 and 9005, can get em of course for the H-4's as well.

I had IPF headlight inserts for my 80, but we run the 2 seperate lights each side ere in AUS not the VX style the US gets.

Yep, it's the bulbs and harness from Christo I used for the upgrade on my 80. Actually, the harness is a Toyota kit.

Or, you can buy the factory Koito aero H4 headlights for your truck. Bolt in replacment. I just happen to have an unused set (sold the truck), nearly perfect. $190 and they are yours. email me syncroboy@hotmail.com for pics.
