It's Complicated
Well I finally got my Head Gasket replaced and the 80 is back on the road. I got a little carried away with PM while I had it apart but I figure I shouldn't have to mess with the engine except oil for 150k or so. She is running so smooth.
For those hesitant to take this kind of issue on it is not that bad if you plan ahead and order all the parts before it blows the down time is not that bad. I didn't so mine was down a couple weeks.
Secondly this forum of ours is perfect to share knowledge and support our fellow SoCal 80's members. If you take your time, mark & tag all parts and reference the FSM you will be fine. Also IdahoDoug's DVD is a great help.
How about a PM get together? I don't remember who first suggested that but credit where it is due. Pick a topic and we can get all interested parties together for some wrenching and
's. Good excuse to do all that stuff you have been puting off. Eduardo...
. Suggestions? PHH, Starter contacts, HG, Birf's, What do you guys think?
