I mentioned it first, get in line Kevin. hehehe:flipoff2:

Besides, smitty and I are golfers, so there's a natural bond there (and don't read anything else into that statement either.) :flipoff2:

I live in the Pasadena area. I have no problem going to your house for any HG or general P.M. work.

Man o man, I missed allot of banter today. Don't you people work? Sorry I missed it, I was playing golf. I think that is the right term. Correct me if I am wrong Brent. I can assist with any of the above PM's as well. Team effort and we could get quite a few things done.

Mangler I have to agree with Smit that the battery and box don't need to be removed to get the belts replaced. I do have girlie hands and arms though. I am curious what is the interference issue with them left in?

So what is the best day of the week for everyone? I assume that a weekend day would be best. How about a weeknight? I figure we choose a day of the week then pick an exact date. Team effort and we could get quite a few things done in a relatively short period of time.

Also Brent, I would be happy to help knock out your belts and PHH if you want since it is easier to coordinate only two schedules especialy when we are so close together.

LOL! Once you meet Kevin - you'll understand my comment! He's a great guy and resource for info, but a golfer.......NOT! hehehe:D

May take you up on that offer on a Sat. afternoon sometime if that works.

Got to spend time getting the engine bay a little cleaner.

Brent, sounds good. I just sent a PM before I checked here. Should definitely at least hose/degreas it. Would be a big improvement and little risk of water intrusion like a pressure wash. I am actually going to pressure wash mine as well. We can team up and make one mess if you want. I could possibly do it later today if you want. PM me and let me know if that works for you.

Biff, Sat afternoons in general work for me too. Anybody else in? Perhaps in two weeks. Next Sat is bad for me.

Sat. afternoon is fine. How about Sat. 5/13

I'm ok with 5/13, but would have to do at my place - wife and daughter are out of town and I need to stay close to home with son. Could even skip golf if we wanted to get alot done. PHH, belts, flush.

Brent,
SKIP GOLF??????? Wow, you must really want to get your PHH taken care of. I believe 5/13 works for me too. By the way how many cruisers do you think we could work on at a time without pissing off your neighbors? Also I could bring the tee's, hose, and adaptors for the flush that anyone can use.

Sounds good then. So we would be doing

My Starter Contacts

Brents PHH

What else?

Biff,
Brent wanted to do his belts and a coolant flush also. I am going to bring the parts to flush if you need it. Did you get your starter contacts from Cdan? If so I am sure you are fine, if not make sure you have the contacts for the 1.4 or 2.0 kw starter (whichever you have) and the two body brushes to go with the brush assembly. Just FYI as I learned the hard way that I didn't have all the parts to do mine the first time I tore it apart. I also had to drill out the two screws in the end as they refused to come out neccessitating a trip to the hardware store for replacements.

I got the brushes, and starter rebuild kit from cdan. Haven't done a coolant flush in a while- put me down for one.

Three is what will fit in the driveway, so that's probably about it.

I live in a very quiet cul-de-sac so three cruisers shouldn't be a problem.

What do you think - most of the day for a couple of coolant flushes, one PHH, and a starter.

Will be good to see the starter rebuild, so I can do it next time.

I've got most of the basic tools, but the flush kit will be a necessity. I'll have the distilled water and antifreeze purchased. Have the three new belts from Dan already - will keep the old ones for trail spares.

I'll PM you two with my address and directions.

We may squeeze a fourth. Is there anyone else interested?

Brent
