In the service manual, for the head bolts Toyota specifies...

1st 29 ft lbs
2nd 90 degree turn
3rd 90 degree turn

And to lube threads with engine oil. I was planning on using anti-seize. Has anybody used anti-seize before? Should I not use it? Should I just do what the manual says and only use a little bit of oil on the threads?

I always just spray wd40 on the threads

Use oil. Coat the threads, the washers, and under the bolt head.

As noted, go with what the manual says.

Thanks guys. I did what the manual stated. Got them all torqued down. Boy, that was a workout...
