Tall driver here, looking at picking up a GX470. Being 6'9", fitting in a vehicle is always a concern. I have a pair of 80's, one with custom seat brackets that I built to make things comfy, so some one-off fabwork is ok with me.

So, any tall drivers out there in a GX? How big are you? How do you fit? Are there special seat/dash/roof configurations that offer more headroom? Or does anyone have floor pics of the seat brackets that may shed some light on seat bracket mod possibilities?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

I'm 6'2 and have not had issues in any seat other than the third row which is to be expected. It feels pretty roomy and one of the reasons I decided on a GX.

I'm 6'5" and wish that I had just a tad more legroom for my right leg (the accelerator pedal is a bit too close). I've found that if I shift my right leg a bit to rest toward the console it isn't so bad. I can see where you'd be concerned...I ruled out an 80 years ago just for the distinct lack of legroom!

I haven't looked at the GX seat mounting yet but I may consider something in the future to move the seat back a bit. Headroom for me isn't a concern but most of my height is in my legs, not torso.

6'4" here and all good. I spread my legs and rest then on for and over center console (door has run mark) but otherwise all good.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask because now that I think about it. The little piece that sticks out slightly right forward of driver door is worn down because I wedge my left foot in there. The "foot pad" up in the wheel well is too far away to be comfortable. I like things to be a tad snug. I loved driving the 2016-17 IS F Sport because it fit like a glove and felt like you were sitting in the cockpit of an F-18.

6' 7" here and this is one of the few trucks that worked for me.

WOW and weird , I am 5'9" and I have a problem , my GX is the most difficult to ingress and egress from .
I wish the seat went back all the way automatically like it does in my Infiniti QX50 , that's what I need

bump again for any new owner input?

I ended up with a Tundra, but am considering selling my Tundra to move to a GX. Yes, I am still thinking about this move 3yrs later.

I’m 6ft and my right leg is a bit uncomfortable on longer drives. I do wish the legroom was a bit longer. Thankfully I’ve got the Charger for long road trips. :D

I am 6'3 @160lbs and no issues for me. I do wish the seats had more thigh support but it's not a deal breaker.

I'm 6'4" / 270 lbs and I fit just fine in my GX 470.
It is a tighter fit than the Suburban I used to drive. Of Course it is, it's like half the size of that beast! The longest drive I've taken was 5 1/2 hours and it was fine. There is a pleasantly surprising amount of headroom, but my elbows would like wider arm rests.
