I need help identifying compatadability with my block and head. my block vin is 232080 and I have attached some pictures of the head. I'm trying to change the head gasket but can't figure out what gasket to get and if the head I'm using will work. I think the block is an early model f engine I'm not sure about the head I think maybe that's my problem. maybe I have a 1f engine block and a 2f head I'm confused how would I tell. whatever anyone can do I would really appreciate it The head numbers are 11111 60020 and below is 32

some where on here this has been covered did you try the search engine on here .i have a pile of new old stock head gaskets and there are a lot of little differnces

The 2F head has a tapped hole outside (right and left) of the exhaust manifold, nearest the thermostat and cowl. If you have plumbing for oil to the rocker arms, you have an F. A USA '74F and 2F have ports on the exhaust for an air pump. An '81 and later 2F has a smaller combustion chamber to accommodate flat pistons.

I need an OEM, or equivalent, gasket as well.

so dizzy if I have an early model f1 engine can in even put that head on

how early if it had the round ports the push rods are not the same combustion chambers are different also

I'm not so knowledgable so kinda can follow up but not really. I have attached pics if this helps. I bought this fj in parts and just trying to figure it out. it's a miss match of parts. just trying to make sure this head is compatible with block

thanks so much dizzy lot of great info on your feed. do u know where I could find the correct head gasket

I posted in your other thread: Catalogue Page 2

Mark may be out of town, not sure, but he'll have the correct gasket for your application. The OEM gasket is long discontinued, FAIK. But he sells a quality aftermarket. Leave a msg.

Your rig looks nice. Buy a Silver Star membership (cheap) LINK and post more pix of the whole truck, if you get the chance.

Believe me, it's well worth it if you plan to wrench on your old junk. The info on MUD is kinda unobtanium anywhere else, and you've got access to folks who have more years Cruiser experience than you or I have had cornflakes.

Cheers.
