Looking at a rust free low milage (120K) 96 that is Triple Locked and has cloth interior, and a factory rear tire carrier. Unfortunately no subtank, no ambulance doors, and has a damn snorkel on it.

In doing research, I'm getting quite a bit of conflicting information, such as the 1HD-FT is or is not computer controlled?
The current owner says he cannot find an ECU, but did find an emissions control module. So that leads to another question. What does it do, and if it fails, will the engine still run normally and reliably, other than a CEL?
Was this model ever offered with a transfer case that is 2H/4H/N/4L? This one is 4H/N/4L. I've seen some Euro spec HDJ80's with an illuminated 4WD push button on the dash, but this one doesn't have that. So how many different drivetrain variations were offered from the factory for the HDJ?
FYI, this one I'm looking at is LHD from central Asia.
