HDJ80: question about fuel heater on diesel filter support

Please, is there anybody could measure resistance of fuel heater device located on top of the diesel filter support? I measured mine with an ohm-meter but I measured RESISTANCE INFINITE. I think my heater is broken. thanks a lot

I actually bought one of these from Japan when I was gathering parts for my HDFT conversion. The truck is at the shop right now. I can measure the resistance after work today and PM you if you like.

Did you test as per the manual? Cuz as far as I can tell from looking at the way it's wired in the EWD heater is switched on via a built in vacuum switch, so it could require a vacuum condition on the fuel tubes to get it to where you can test the heater continuity.

As mentioned above the heater resistance should be measured with a vacuum of 350+/-50mm/hg applied to the vacuum port and the resistance should be 0.5 to 2ohms @ 20deg C.
