I live in Norway and have been restoring a HDJ80 for some time now. Just before the summer the engine wiring started to smoke so I quickly turned everything off and took the terminal from the battery. Noticed then as a stripped the wiring the some had melt som I need a new one.
When I then looked inside the dash with a multimeter connected to the ground on the ignition (which I new was at fault) I checked every connector on the other side and got a signal. My conclusion is that there are multipul cable that have melted and gives of a signal.
Therefor I am at the point where I do think that I need two sets of wiring harnesses. One for the engine bay and the other from under tha dash that goes to the ignition connector.
Anybody that has one?
As I have started a new and timeconsuming job I am at the point where I am considering selling the car, and I am obviously open for export.
