Here where I live in SE Asia there are not mny choices for cavity wax/underseal as people generally don't use it, or spray old oil under the car. But I found this (not cheap) in a fancy hardware shop. Has anyone used it on their vehicle?

I have never used it, but I've seen the spray can version in local boat supply stores (Los Angeles). Most people here use Fluid Film, but that Corrosion X is probably pretty good if the Marine places use it. They don't use Fluid Film, fwiw.

I had a small bottle of it to loosen up a rusted horn.It worked for that.

I was interested in doing what you are considering, so I purchased 5 different products in small quantities, applied them to un protected raw steel bar pieces, then mounted the bars side by side at the beach under the pier which gets constant salt mist air ---- and checked up on them for weeks afterwards for rust development..

Verdict:
All the bars rusted pretty much at the same rate, except for the uncoated steel bar. Of course it rusted the fastest and the most.

My conclusion:
Buy a product that you can tolerate its odor. Corossion-X isn't too smelly but Fluid Film is horrible.

I eventually went with linseed oil to protect my frame

^^
Linseed oil works well but requires yearly reapplication. Eventually, it does polymerize and form a hard coating.
