Driver door has vertical play

The door seems to be loose / can move up and down more than I'd like. Going over small bumps in the city, this causes a rattling noise coming from the A pillar, presumably as the door bounces. How do I best adjust and tighten this up? It's the only door that's like that...I suppose since it gets used 99% of the time.

Probably the hinges worn? Would need to replace them

My driver's side upper hinge wore out (lower seemed ok) and I learned that the lower passenger side hinge, turned upside down, was a direct fit for the upper driver's side. Needless to say, the lower passenger side hinge was tight, due to lack of stress and use. I found a junkyard hinge.

Both your hinges could be shot, so you do have to evaluate the whole picture before replacing parts.
