I'm wiring my fridge into the Prado.

For those that have done it, where did you run your wires? I don't want to drill holes... How did you run through the firewall? Or did you run under the truck and then up into the cargo area through some kind of access?

I went through the rubber grommet for the wiring harness. Ran it down the door channel below the trim to the rear panels.

That's what I did on my 100 too; I couldn't see where that grommet popped out on the firewall side. I'll take a better look tomorrow.

It comes out (on the US spex GX) behind the ECU on the PS footwell WAAAAY up inside. It hurts to grab it, that much I know! Just ran my solar lines to the battery through the same grommet.

On this ZA spec model, there's no easy way to enter through the firewall. While crawling around under there, I found the loom for the trailer wires goes along the frame rail on the left side. I'll follow that and come off where those wires turn toward the hitch and go up through a grommet under where the jack is stored. Easy peasy.

That was super easy; I just pushed it into the plastic loom as I went down.. . The grommet came up under the carpet so we passed the wire though there and behind the jack. I put it through one of the cubbies and will finish it off tomorrow.

This is how I finished it off: the ARB plug is mounted to the floor of the cubby (we just drilled a hole). When we're not using the cords, I just store them in there and close the lid...
