Thats going to leave a mark($)Rascal said:The rear axle is at Sunray. They are going to bust a hump to get it done ASAP. Hopefully I can pick it up beginning of next week after Austin does his magic. I saw the components that are going inside the housing (third member - 5.89 gears around a Detroit Locker, and axles - 35 spline cromolly) while I as there today. I walked a bit funny for a whileI think I will be able to realize my initial goal.

Problem is DOM has a tolerance of +/- .008! Ok so you may need to open up the DOM a bit with some emery paper. All the DOM I am using seams to be over sized a bit. Next batch of Hyperjoints will slip right on the end of the DOM. Eh that’s why we do protos!

Rascal said:Missed this earlier - could you snap a pic? ed and I have been discussing this and open to ideas. Thanks
GreenWeeny78 said:Just think of the rear floor almost completly cut out and then a foot of the frame that sits right above the axle cut out. We bent up some custom shock hoops made out of d.o.m. and tied into the front and rear part of the frame.
Mace said:Even if you mount the coilovers higher and tilted in slightly?
I figured they would come through the floor. Woody's do that..Rock Taxi said:Yup, even doing that, they will come through the floor. That's really not a problem, but they are still tilted in more than I would like due to the frame rail clearance issues.
Stupid cruiser frame.![]()
