Rascal,

Looks good. Just one thing to add. I would put some type of bushing on the mounts for the fuel cell if there isn't one already. Aluminum tanks are prone to crack under flex. The smell of gas all day long sux!

That's a good call, Thanks.

Right now there are a number of things that are just kind of thrown together to get it rolling and on a trailer so it can get to Ed's.

Thanks, it's been a long haul and a much bigger project that I originally planned on. But tonight as I finished getting a bunch of little things done so I could drive it on to a trailer - I stepped back for the first time in a long time and was pretty happy with the outcome.

Tomorrow - it goes on a trailer. Front wheel drive and rear wheel brakes. and phase 2 of this project begins. Since Ed will be doing all of the work - I should have a lot more time for pictures... and drinking and smoking cigars ;)

He is only linking the rear right now...............

Gunmetal, get some shocks for the front that can be converted to coilovers later. That is what I did, helped with the costs when I went to coilovers.

My Dad needs help digging out . Get the trailer ready, pulling out on Friday 5am.
 
Drove it on the trailer and delivered it to Ed's this evening. Time to get the 4 link done. Will post up some progress pictures.
 
Ready to start the links!! Have all of the parts.

Here's a couple of pictures of the components. The HyperJoints are a prototype from Mark Hawley @ Metaltech. http://metaltech4x4.com/index.htm. Very cool design! Mark put a lot of research int to these - including passing the design by Tom @ Sunray to make sure he had no "copy" issues. They look similar but there are key differences.

Ed and I will Start the 4 link tonight - the pictures will start flowing again!

Got a lot of prep work done Monday night. Final Measurements. Built up the frame plates and the crossmember plates for the lower links. Ed TIG'd up the Hyperjoints. Got ready to mount the crossmenber and create and install the crossmember side of the lowers.

Last night I was not able to get over to Ed's but he was going to crank away at it. I'll get some more pictures tonight.

Get those axle tabs mocked up so they can build it while you and Ed are doing your dick dance in Dallas :D
 
We got a lot accomplished tonight. Ed got the crossmember in last night. Tonight we got the lower links welded to the crossmember. We fabbed up the upper links and they are ready to weld in.
