Hanna Quality FZJ80 D.I.Y. rear bumper kit #1 build

These deceptive business practices of VENDORS on this site are popin up like mushrooms. There are many Good, truly Independent Builders on this forum who will have no problem telling a MAN what something Costs.

There are a lot of accusations in this post, is there any basis or factual reality to support the accusations?

That was 10 years ago and many improvements since.

Yeah, it looks like a way nice bumper! I figured that the pricing was probably different or not released for a reason, hence my "as of date."

Looks like a nice bumper and a solid alternative to those on the market that don't require you to cut the frame.

I am not a vendor nor am I affiliated with any. I also built my front bumper from a kit by Luke over at 4x4 labs. And if someone asked me the same question i would say the same. "call Luke at 4x4 labs." jcardona1 did an awesome build thread on that one already so I did not do mine. Sorry if this seems to offend you. I really liked reading and viewing the build of the front bumper i did so I wanted to do the same in kind for the rear I put together since I got the first kit I could be the first pictures.
Tell the man what YOU paid..!

I could say a lot of things right now to people I have never heard of,
but suffice to say Hanna is a reputable, long standing member of the Cruiser community.
I'll say his skills and integrity are legendary, and I bet every Cruiserhead that has met him will do the same.

I can't believe it's been over a decade that bumper has been on my truck!
Lucky and proud to own HQ craftsmanship.

Well said. Maybe we can end this nonsense.

Now let's get back to that fine bumper. Can you post up some larger pics? I really like some of the lines on this.

This x2. I can say the same about my Hanna sliders!

Glad to see you around lurking Ken!!

I can post more and larger. Anything in particular you want to see?

Yup, I have a set of Hanna's sliders and they are great. Top notch especially who ever did the Powder coating.

I get with the internet we're all accustomed to point-click-buy, but the OP simply showed us all what he did with parts Ken provided.
What part of that lends to you demanding to know what he paid?

This forum isn't Google shopping, call Ken, drop a PM, show your own motivation.

I say this as an owner of Ken's stuff and more importantly was backside support - I called Ken since I snapped a latch (backed into crap, my fault) - Ken was back to me within 48 hrs with a link to the vendor! --- I wasn't even the primary buyer!!! ---

If you care what I paid - mine was free (swapped from my old 450, broke even on sale), so backwards thinking - free.

Ken's bumper was a priority to me. He'd just quit building them, my bumper was originally on a 80 a friend had bought, I helped install & subsequently bought the 80/450. Plenty will tell you Ken is a busy man who is a stand-up member, the OP doesn't have to post anything he doesn't want, he already walked you through his build.

As others will say, the breakover isn't like a 4x4 labs, but for a great bumper with a hi-lift provision & quarter protection, a Hanna is very nice & the hardware is all real quality stuff.
I loved my Slee step sliders for family friendly reasons, but for tough & with a tight fit, and cat protection -his sliders are great too!

Finished pics of the bumper and the side protection.
Here are some more pics in larger format. and I took a couple new ones today of the side protection you asked about.

Very cool. I also like the line you chose to put the truck bed liner on the side.

Great looking rig.

Thanks! It took a few coats to get the texture I wanted but I'm glad i did it. Also wrapped up over the hood as well.

I think it's perfectly appropriate for somebody to refer to the vendor for a price. Not my business to know -or ask- what somebody paid for something if they'd rather not tell. Many possible reasons why they might not want to, including just plain courtesy to the Vendor.

Is Ken still in business? His website domain is showing for sale. Just tried DMing him but last seen was 6mos ago

He is, but mostly just direct I think. I will tell him to check his DM’s.
