About 5500# so far, less than expected based on how sore and tired I am, lol. The left was what we loaded into pablo, the right is pablito.

Edit: funnily enough, this only covers the cost of the 20 sawzall blades we went through, and the beer we drank. Have to pay for food and the extra $200 I paid for the bus on top of the engine before I break even on the motor, so hopefully the chassis/axles/suspension weigh at least 10,000#

Please tell me there was a group singing of "the wheels on the bus" at least once

Wow I figured you would have got a little more $$

The frame and axles have gotta be pretty effin' heavy then. According to Google, a "Type C" school bus (the bigger ones, like this one) are between 15,500 - 30,500 pounds. The "Flat-Front Engine (Transit-style)" are 22,000 - 26,000 pounds. Granted, you took out all the glass and the seats, but still.......ain't no way the motor is thousands of lbs.

I too was extremely tired and sore. It’s pretty rad that we collectively cut up and moved over 5k lbs of steel. Nice job everyone!

Still waiting for someone to post up the video of it driving

Solid amount of weight yeah. 10 guys cut up a 5000lb vehicle and loaded it onto truck/trailer in less than 6 hours. That's pretty bad ass.

Bu(tt)s stuff part deuce, Ryan and I (thanks bro!) . Planning on hitting the scrap yard tomorrow to see what this bit weighs.

Until I saw the last picture, I thought, "there's a hold my beer trailerload for sure".

This weighed this. Less than I expected. @AJR 's weight prediction of about 10k overall looks like it was super close, lol.

are you going to break even on the Hamon? lol

I have now, and made back the extra $200 I paid for the bus. Hopefully I'll get a few more bucks to make the motor cheaper, lol.

I am getting a lot more parts than had I just bought the motor, so I gotta take that into account too.

This is depressing, especially given how much the price of materials costs at the moment.
Yeah, but it's all good. I get the motor I want and get a bunch more parts on top of it.

The bus is fully disassembled, and the motor is home. Need to scrap the trailer stuff and a few other things, but the motor is home.

DIY gantry crane for the win. Really need an electric hoist.
