there should be enough wrenches and elbows to complete both axles, brakes and then some...

Darin, do you have a power bleeder for the brakes, or should i bring mine?

I will bring other stuff to do. I will be looking at the brakes this week to ensure I have everything that is needed.

I ordered all my front axle stuff from Iron Pig. They had a little snafu with their supplier and it wasn't shipped. Should be here soon.

Johnny might want to speak up here also.

Will leave it open to him but he might want to look into it if enough people show up here.

Johnny where u at? Wheres my skid?

Relax guys, I work during the day:flipoff2:

I'll be there, with your skid and a bunch of tools. That's all you have planned for us? We could get that front axle done in less than 2 hours, start to finish.

If we run out of things to do on your 40, we could always start looking at the roof on my new 60 body.

I will have plenty to do. I don't want abuse the help.

No abuse going on here buddy, I love working on cruisers. Anything you want to do is good with me!

Well I finally got some time to take the tires off and look at the brakes. Don't look to bad just some surface rust. Everything seems to be in decent shape.

Are the rotors too rusty to have turned? The drums are pretty rusty too.

Overall I was impressed for something that has sat for so long.

I don't think the rust is an issue. Turning will machine the brake surface. If you want, you can clean the rest of the rust off with a wire or flap wheel.

Just my opinion, but unless you know the rotors and drums need to be turned, I would wait. Just my 2 cents. It should be easy to remove the rust...

May I ask what an african crafted gill is? Thank for offering it. I will let u know.
I got it when i lived in Mali its made from an oil drum but cut up and shaped like a grill its great for tailgating and the like its just interesting. I will try to snap a pic.

I'm gonna have a few things to do to get my 60 running. Rounding up parts right now but already should take most of the day. At the moment, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, carb, distributor, water pump, muffler, valve adjustment. I'm happy with whatever i can get done with the time allowed.
