Instead of making drawer systems and such for a flat place to sleep, and also not needing to remove the seats or tons of cargo, i was wondering if anyone has any experience mounting a hook near the rear-view-mirror and another near the rear cargo light and string a hammock? This obviously wouldn't work if you have a cargo barrier, but in essence all you would need to do is fold the middle row seats down and you have a place to sleep without having to unload all your gear. Do you think the roof would be strong enough to support the weight of a fat ass hanging in a hammock? :D

Interesting idea. Here's another variation where you could hook it onto the B and D pillars. Not sure how comfortable it would be though.

Hammocks sag with weight. That would have to be one tightly strung hammock to hold an adult above gear. That said, you'd need VERY strong anchor points for the hammock.

It might be cheaper and a whole lot less work to just pick up a tent cot or just a tent.

Before I got my drawer, I slept on top of some of my gear. Most of my stuff was loaded into flip top boxes and action packers. I put an air mattress on top of that and did fine...nothing got crushed...even with my fat ass on top of it :D
