Hey,
Some of you have seen my handy Ham list, but if you havent ill tell you about it. It is just a short and sweet list with all the club folks on it with their call signs. It is about 3 inches by 4 inches and fits well in the little pocket on most visors.
With all that being said, I need to update it to include some folks that were left out.
Please PM me with your call signs please.
Hope to have new list for the meeting on the 9th.

Daisy

I think you have mine. but definitely would like to get your print out. I should have an antenna soon.

Did you put Andrew's on your list? You can probably remove Onur and Rory's info from the list. I don't see Rory getting a radio much less get into a Landcruiser in the foreseeable future.

Didn't Rory mention looking for a pickup?

Yeah, probably not worth having me on the list at this point. I do simplex anyway and I don't use my radio unless I am in my rig on a trip or something.

You've had the radio for 18 months. The test isn't hard.
Getting your license is the right thing to do.
What are your excuses going to be this year?

Don't really want to take a day off from work--or even half a day--to go take a test for something I use 2 or 3 times a year.

In reality, you shouldn't be using it at all.

In reality, we should all obey the speed limit as well...

I seriously doubt the FCC is going to be that interested in busting a HAM user who purely uses the mode of communication 2-3 times a year in simplex mode.

I just don't buy the argument.... and besides K0NUR is already taken.

The more accurate comparison is that we should have driver's licenses to drive. Imagine if anyone who wanted to drove with no limitations. That's the side you're on?

Well, we do live in NM, where drivers get behind the wheel with suspended licenses quite frequently.... :meh:
