Cool, thanks for the pics guys. It looks like it would be fun to drive around with that setup. It also looks like it might buy you a little extra leg room.

Is that soft top available for sale somewhere, or are they custom made?
 
soft tops are made by Ehsan....good top design...reembles oem style

nobody else is presently making them...Kayline used to make them for fj40's and 45's i think they stopped early 80's with that ....didnt sell....now there is no kayline and no STC.....so....that leaves Ehsan as the lone seller :)

The only way you will get more leg room is with the doors completly off. Unless you are a giant and can hang your leg over the half door.

I'm currently searching for a set of 75 and older doors that are rusty so I can make hard half doors. I will shoot you some pics once I have found a good donor.

Well, I ain't no giant so that's not going to happen.

I have an extra set of the newer style doors that I was thinking about making half doors out of and was curious to see what it might look like. I'm guessing the older doors, without door panels, make a better starting point for a half door project.
