I'm about to dive into the instal of an H55f on my FJ60 and the only question I have before I start is where the heck does the plastc oil nipple go? I have the Toy manual but don't see any mention of this part. I have scowered the www and find a couple of photos on CCOT of the part instaled but can't get a good idea of the location. Any help appreciated guys. Thanks

Describe the nipple, sounds like the one inside the split case that is kind of a oiler.

Yes, you are correct. The only info I can find is from Allen Patterson on this board and it says to line the plastic oiling nipple up to the hole in the fifth gear main shaft so I am assuming that the nipple goes on the tranny side of the trans case, Is that correct?. Also, Is there any reason that the bolt hole directle above the nipple that needs to be plugged can't be done from the tranny side using a 1/4x18 npt allen screw? I really don't see the need to tear the trans case appart if i don't have to unless it is the only way to get the plug in correctly. Thanks for your help.

These two used to be on cool cruisers. First one shows the "plug", second shows the 5th gear oiling cup (on the transmission side of the tcase I believe).

The split case CANNOT be separated from the tranny unless you tear it apart. You'd rather install from the transfer case side as THAT would save a little work.
