Just to confirm .. 21 splines on the input shaft for the H55F right .. ?

It's time for a new clutch in Tencha .. I will put an Aisin factory 275mm on it .. ( last was 8 year of really good service anycase .. )

Also got the CT52A1 push rod bearing Koyo .. and the pilot bearing 6201-ZZ in Nachi ..

Tapage,

I'm about to put an H55F in my HJ47. The input shaft on it is the coarse type - 10 splines.

I'm pretty sure the fine spline input shafts are for a different engine type - 3B perhaps?

was figuring the same thing searching in Autralia .. where the HJ60 are more popular .. all H55F are 10 coarse splines ?

Yep ,same as the 3F

There is a thread on here somewhere on which I'm pretty sure I read that some of the H55F input shafts have fine splines while others have coarse splines depending on year of fab.

Will a 2H fit a fine or coarse spline?

thanks .. again ..

anychance confirming the bearing numbers . ?

Everythings the same(year for year) except the input shaft,Bigbrowndog did a big write up some time back

2H has a coarse spline
Its the amount of splines that dictate whether it is fine or coarse because the shaft is the same diameter
This a 1HZ 21 spline input shaft. Its fine because it has almost twice as many splines;)

Hi,
the 3B has the fine splines (21), the 2H the coarse ones (10_. 2H input is the same as 2F input (10).

1HZ has the same as 1HD-T, none of these match the 2H or 3B.

cheers,
Jan

ps: rick beat me...cheers

Nop .. the 1HZ and 1HD-T are diferents .. 21 vs 14 splines .. actually are not engine related, it's tranny related the H150 vs H151

Whats the 1HZ R151f got ,anyone, to complete the list?

Actually the 1HZ engine never come ( as far as I know ) mathed with H151 ..

thought it could be posible use it with a proper flywheel surface ( 300mm) the 300mm PP and 14 splines 300mm disc ( 1HD-T combo ).

What I need to do in my tranny swap to use the H150 in my 1HD-T involve an Isuzu clutch disc that's 300mm but 21 splines ..

I did say R151f, not H151:D

Beanz2 did a write up on the Isuzu clutch mod but it might have been to use a H55F with a 300mm flywheel on a 1HD T

cool, thanks. I could have sworn I saw 14 spline on a 1HZ, but I don't know what tranny that was. I thought H55F, as in your original question.
cheers,
J

I'm thinking the H55F 21 spline clutch are for those H55F behind the 1HZ engine ..

And yes the 1FZ-FE engine use the 14 coarse spline input with the H151 tranny .. 300mm clutch ..

David,

My 2H is an 8/81, with a 2 year-old H55F. 10 spline.
Call John at Radd in Vancouver to verify the bearing numbers, he's the biggest 2H geek I have talked to.
