This came out of my 03/80 FJ43 with 2F engine. I only drove the truck a few times before we yanked it out and stuck in the 5 speed. It shifted great up but had issues shifting down from 3rd to 2nd but no issues from 2nd to first. But for those looking for a better crawl ratio the 4.9XXX low sure makes for a pretty low 1st gear.

$695

Will ship on your dime but located in North Bend Oregon for local pickup.

Been out of the classifieds for awhile now. Maybe a bit over priced or everyone is on summer break. Price reduction to $595? Let me know if I'm off base here. Or best reasonable offer. Time to clean up the place.

5-600 is a good price for a rare transmission with the transfer case. I'd buy it if I had the extra coin sitting around, I want another h41 to rebuild for "fun". Other side of the country though.

Any PTO case attached?
Thanks

I just a shot in the dark. Is it still in OR, we are in Idaho.
Thanks

Is there an attached parking brake?

Picture of the transmission, transfer case in this thread. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/fj43-build-from-far-far-away.531896/page-2 It does not have hand brake or a PTO. I remember this cruiser as it's mystery to me. 3/80 would had one piece transfer case not a split transfer case.

Has nothing to do with T/T for sale as they look to be transmission and split transfer case out of 4X series. Wondering did this cruiser have the crossmember under the transmission, I see your using a AA one on the back of your T case in your build? If not does the H41 have threaded holes on bottom to use a crossmember? Did it come with a hand brake on the rear axle?

Sorry it has been awhile. I'm away from the cruiser by about 3K miles and I only see it every couple of years. I wasn't actually there when they took the T/T out so I would have to try and find some old pictures or have my brother use his memory. If I remember correctly though there wasn't a cross member under the transmission but it had two small square mounts on either side of the transmission.

And as stated it does not have the PTO nor did it have the hand brake.

Probably out of a 60 with a 40 shift plate.

The cruiser came from Columbia, most markets other then the US the H41 was more common in the 40/60 series then the H42 Toyota imported to the US. Your are right a easy matter changing the top covers from 60 to 40 on the H41/H42. Just wish the 40 series top were as easy to locate to locate a five speed top cover for the 40 series five speed as the four speed.:(

I have been talking to George at Valley hybrids in CA. I believe he contacted you on my behalf. I'd like to talk with you and arrange getting this transmission/transfer case. Please send me your number or feel free to call me at 503-970-7537. Thanks. Ron
