H41 or H42?

if your running a ford engine then keeping it all toyota doesnt make much sense it sounds good the way it is . if it works good why waste the money take the wife kids girl friend or whatever on a nice wheeling trip and enjoy it good luck

x2. I would stick with your current setup. No Toyota tranny will be a substitute strength-wise for the New Process. I have an H42 behind an SBC, and will likely swap it out for an SM420 down the road, unless a cheap H41 comes about. I would only do this because I have the adapter readily available.
 
don't like the shifting of the np435
 
when on the trail and you need to downshift from 2nd to first fast you can't do that with the np435

If the DS is spinning at the same speed at the motor, you can ;)
 
i think it takes some practice have a 46 willys a 42 gmc and an m37 can d shift all of them quick but i havnt driven your specific truck so i could be missing something .once you get engine speed and tranny speed so to speak close they usually slip right in or you can double clutch and that may help however i geuss a fully syncro tranny is hard to beat good luck
 
does anybody have some pics of the h42 with the spacer on the back?
