Guess I'll be staying away from Roberts Toyota in Columbia, TN (South of Nashville). I don't think I could ever do business with someone that has the gall to jack the price up by $8,000 and calls it "dealer savings". The audacity is truly staggering. DEALER SAVINGS!!!!:bang:

I had purchased a new F150 for work a few years back. Pre-covid (right before), I was looking to get rid of it and buy a Super Duty. Had X plan pricing. Called the same sales guy that I bought the 150 from....

"No, we won't do X plan pricing and dealer mark up is an additional 5K". Went elsewhere and bought a truck.

He called me a month ago wanting to sell me a truck. I reminded him of the conversation and politely asked that he never call again. Truly the proverbial "water off a duck's back". He couldn't have cared less. They will find someone that will pay it.

I drove a Luxury+ around the dealer parking lot today. It had the stupid 22” wheels. In general, I liked it. The V6 has a lot of power and it seems quiet and comfortable. The front of the hood is quite high, so view over the hood isn’t great. I didn’t try moving the seat higher — that might mitigate that somewhat. Second row room felt similar to my 200. The cargo area loses several inches in height due to the third row. The center screen seemed to have a very high resolution, it was quite crisp and clear. I’m still not a fan of the HVAC controls being on the screen.
I was able to test drive a Luxury+ at a second dealership. This was a short test drive, about 10 minutes on urban streets at speeds up to 40 mph. I still think that the V6 has plenty of power, especially at low RPMs. The transmission seemed to downshift more smoothly at low speeds than the 6-speed on my 200. That said, I think the V6 is a bit more coarse in NVH when pushed, compared to the V8. It is also a bit loud when pressed.

The GX seemed very quiet at a steady 40 mph. The ride was a touch jiggly over small imperfections, but I put that down to the stupid 22" wheels and low profile tires. The digital rear mirror didn't win me over, but perhaps I could get used to it.

I put $1000 down on a Overtrail. They will sell it at MSRP. Not clear when I might get an allocation.

Congrats !

I am thinking about going this coming week and put the $2500 down on the OT+ any color... however, the more I see real pics of the LC250, the more I like it more ! LOL

I’d like to test drive the LC 250. I like the better fuel economy of the 250, but I am a bit concerned about the NVH of the 4-cylinder. The 250 gets very close in price to the Overtrail once you add the premium package (or choose the First Edition) and all of the 250 Premium Package allocations that I’ve seen incoming have included 20” wheels, which is a deal breaker for me.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from the local dealership (Sacramento-area) with whom I placed a $500 deposit last August for an LC. He has reserved me a 1958 edition in Ice Cap (which is exactly what I'd requested) with no markup and only minimal "Port-installed packages" BS ("illuminated door sills," $485 for "Connected Services" and "Remote Connect," and a 70 DOLLAR "quick charging cable package", though I was actually planning to pay for all-weather floor mats).
Delivery is expected later this month. Fingers crossed I'm not let down somewhere in this process, but, like I said, I'm pleasantly surprised so far.

Im sure the guys at the port spent a lot of time installing those cables…what a joke.

Which dealer? I'm in the Sac area also and the few places I've called has a mark up. (Maita, Roseville, and Thompson)

Turned down a ‘Land Cruiser’ Land Cruiser in one of my top color choices that should be arriving at the dealer. Decided I would prefer to wait for a 1958.

Just waiting for my FE …. Had been scouring SmartPath and calling dealers from across numerous states for a week with negative results. One morning, a dealer called me back after they had already told me the allocation they had was already taken. They had gotten a new allocation and remembered I had inquired a couple days prior. Timing was perfect. Talked to the dealer yesterday, she still hasn’t left Portland yet. Next stop should be Memphis via train, then a tractor trailer/car hauler east to the dealer. 😎👍🏻

Is there a Lexus site like this where you can plug your VIN# in and see where your vehicle is?

It’s a dealer thing.

Folsom Lake Toyota.
I bought the most stripped down corolla from them for my daughter last August. Same thing, MSRP.
Be warned, when the "finance" guy shows up...
I paid cash so what the heck? I musta said NO to a hundred "plans" I really needed.
What got me was the extended warranty deal. When I "declined" he came back a few minutes later at half price. Just a tad insulting I'd say.
But, a great life lesson for my 18 year old daughter.
Enjoy your new LC, I'M psyched for you. Just hold on to your wallet!

I'm starting to get impatient waiting for a Land Cruiser with the premium package without the optional 20 inch wheels. I've turned down 7 so far in central Ohio. It seems that all the LC's with premium package are also coming with the 20's. I know somebody earlier said there were only like 30 vehicles in the system with 20 inch wheels but if that's the case they're all apparently coming here.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm steeling myself for a miserable day-of-purchase experience. How many times can I say "nope, next" without losing my good mood?

We bought my wife’s first two C-class Mercedes from a family friend. When we bought the second from him, the dealership had changed policies so that the deal had to be finalized with a finance guy. Fred told us when we got to the finance guy to start the conversation by saying “no, no, no, and no.” 🤣
