So the summer is coming and that means wheeling in Colorado. I'm trying to decide which suspension upgrade makes the most sense. I'm only really looking for 2" or so out of the lift and then I'll go to larger tires, maybe 33's if they fit and make sense (don't want to regear the rear). The rig is going to be more of a overlander (plans to cover terrain from Baja to Alaska) than a rock crawler but I wouldn't mind doing a little crawling as well. I listed the options below. I am partial to having an air system of some sort as I like the automatic ride height adjustment for heavier loads. All three rear "spring" options would continue to use the stock compressor and ride height sensors. Let me know your thoughts/experience with any of these. Thanks in advance.

Front:
Icon 2.5" extended travel coilovers adjustable from 0-3" of lift - already own but not installed yet
UCA's - seems with the extended travel Icon's this will be required

Rear:
Springs:
Option 1:
Airbag spacers from AMTS in Australia, 2" of lift, work with KDSS? - $150 shipped

Option 2:
Airbag Man OA6011 taller stronger airbags from Austrailia, designed for Prado Grande, 2" of lift, work with KDSS? - $725ish
DIY Airbag Man OA6011 install in 120 Grande

Option 3:
Metal Tech spring conversion - $220
Icon 2" lift springs - $235
Airlift 1000 airbags installed inside the Icon springs and piped to stock comrpessor - $85
Total $540

Shocks:
Icon 2.5 with CDCV - $1250

Other:

Rear adjustable track bar, fixes rear alignment with a lift and KDSS (is this really necessary?)- $300
ICON 02-09 Rear Adjustable Track Bar

Totals (without track bar):
LCA's + spacers + icon rear shocks: $1,800
LCA's + Airbag man + icon rear shocks: $2,375
LCA's + MetalTech + icon rear shocks: $2,190

I would try number 3 without the airbags and see how it rides and sits. I have MetalTech LT HD rear springs and carry a few hundred pounds in back and stock bumpers and it's great.

What did you end up doing? I am very interested in option 2
