GX470 Differentiial Lock Actuator Question

This question is for anyone that has removed their GX470 diff lock actuator.

After the 3 mounting bolts have been removed and the actuator is pulled back as far as it will go, (rack still connected) is there any space between the actuator and the xfer case? If so, approximately how much. Can you see the o-ring at this point?

Very little play in there. There is a space, but not sure on how large. The clip on the far side of the shift rod doesn't allow for much.

O.K. Thanks. I'm working on a new method to change the o-ring. Just about ready to test my theory. The weather here sucks so bad it may be weeks before I can give it a try. Temp made it all the way up to +10 F today! Time to fire up the BBQ.
