Get an LT All Terrain if you want to air down. Yoko G015s and Bridgestone Revo 3s are 2 very well mannered All Terrains. I love my Revos and they ride almost as smooth as my All seasons

Got some cheap blacked out door handle covers on Prime Day. Also a few different kinds of tie downs in back. One that can be turned if you loosen the but from a stowed to out position and another that folds open. More of a trial of each kind.

Damn how are your CV angles? KDSS?

they are fine actually, the fins on the boots are barely touching if at all. happy to get a pic for you if you are interested

funny you should ask about KDSS - I actually already have TreatyOak KDSS spacers on all my links - but just recently my KDSS light came on for low pressure. took it to the Lexus dealership and they wanted $7k to fix it, so the stiffer springs are part of my hillbilly way of making this thing feel a little less mushy and more planted. rides great.

I was just curious that is one of the most "lifted" GXs I have seen that wasn't on some sort of subframe drop lift.

What did they diagnose the KDSS issue as? God I love the outcome of it, but the complexity just makes me hate these rigs a bit.

The tall skinnies look great BTW thought they were 35s for a minute

New OEM 886 springs in front to replace my 885s:

The springs should settle. When I put on my Dobinson (can’t remember the number) 3” heavy rate springs I had about 4” of lift front and rear, which freaked me out, they have definitly settled and the ride improved after some offroad bouncing. I have diff drop spacers, but not sure they are entirely neccisary. In retrospect I would go with the 2.5” heavy springs. But I’ll swap those out when I upgrade the struts in time.

I didn't catch that he hadn't driven it enough to settle. Makes sense then. I am sure that Treatyoak stuff helps too. KDSS is whats mind of limiting our OME stuff on our truck.

Yep, it's really great until it's not.

IDK I came from Chevy HD trucks before my venture to the dark side....CV angles really matter on those trucks...also ya know down travel lol
I am still learning the J150 platform. I had a truck with 9" of front travel and about 6 of it was droop.

Same here I am always learning new things. Kind of why I started a business around wrenching. Its a great excuse to talk to people.

Yep. This is my first IFS 4wd Toyota. All my other IFS Toyota trucks were 5 lugs. I miss them, they were great little work trucks. Fuel efficient and ran forever. Between the 22R and 2RZ.

Yeah I notice the lack of down travel since lifting higher. Hence now considering long travel.

Mine isn't too bad, I only did 1.75" F and 1
5" R
Wanted to make sure to still have some droop.

In the end, though, I am with you and long travel is the goal as that seems way more attainable than a SAS.

It's funny, I don't feel like it is so high in person. I have had several lifted Tacomas and 4runners, all at about 2.5-3" and this is about the same in terms of CV angles. I'll grab some more pics today and get the CV angles and add them here. It drives great with the heavy springs. This thing is heavy as hell even without a bumper and winch. Only additional weight from my side is slides and skids. 3rd row, spare, and hitch are removed in the back, so the ass-end is actually lighter than stock.

The KDSS diagnosis was low pressure due to a failed pump and potentially leaking lines. $4k for the pump and $3k for the lines!

That looks really high! Looks higher than mine and I have a 3" lift, albeit, a lot of weight too. What is the lift on it?

This should be around 3" - it's an old man emu lift with the 886 heavy springs in the front and medium springs in the back (but a lot of weight removed in the rear - see my post above).
