I recognize those views! Done that road many times, usually in the middle of Winter.Left Sequoia National Park and spent a week in Lake Tahoe with the family. More to come.

Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe.
Clean build. Aftermarket taillights or vinyl?
My God, I love those mountains. I've topped summits in every state in the west, including Alaska & Hawaii, and the Sierras stand alone. I can not wait to go back.Left Sequoia National Park and spent a week in Lake Tahoe with the family. More to come.

"Of all the mountain ranges I have climbed, I like the Sierra Nevada the best"
-John Muir (a man who knew a thing or two about mountains)
Lake Tahoe is stunningly beautiful throughout the year. We spent most of the week in the water swimming & jet skiing, got in a couple of light hikes, & mostly enjoyed the much needed R & R, but I won't bore you guys with those pics.I recognize those views! Beautiful photos!
Been through Genoa, but never heard of the trail. I'll have to look that up next time were up there, albeit, it may be winter, so I don't know if it would be passable.Genoa Peak Trail

I engage 4LO a lot, even of I don't need it. It's good exercise for the T-case, it's nice to have insta-torque on command, and it's especially handy as a speed limiter for downhills. I like using the 2nd start mode/2nd gear/4LO and just slowly letting it chug around the trail on its own. That's just a bit lower than 1st gear/4HI and isn't too jerky on the throttle, perfect for long hills with rough surfaces like a couple you pictured.View attachment 2751920

My stock sidesteps & undercarriage survived. Just barely. However, I'm now rocking some sweet new pinstripes!
I remained in 4 high for the majority of the trail, but I did have to engage 4 low and lock the center dif for the last 300 yards due to a steeper climb & rock gardens. I'm sure better drivers could do without. We had a blast and will definitely be back next time we're in Lake Tahoe.
Here's the link that inspired me to hit this trail:
