We got up into some decent snow and mud yesterday. The truck (and tires) handled beautifully. As I was plowing through a foot of snow, the sound of the undercarriage scraping along, I asked my wife if she wanted to drive. Not interested... More fun for me!
Nothing like motivating shots of the GX. Gotta get out more. Great shot

Here's a couple more from the same trip on Sunday. I had both hands on the wheel for the really snowy parts, but I snuck a couple shots at lower altitude near where we stopped for lunch.

I washed the big chunks off that night, but neglected the undercarriage. It'll have to spend a couple hours parked over a sprinkler this weekend. Has anyone here ever mentioned their dislike for mud? Because I hate mud.

Nice shots! I too hate mud.

Both love & h8 mud...

I have not see any post about pre coating your undercarriage when you know you are going to be in the mud. I raced off road Super 1600 cars for many years and we would use anything from Spray on Pam ( The cheap stuff from Dollar General) to diesel. The mud would just fall off and it would not discolor hardware.
I do plan on metal duct taping all the holes in the frame as well. Pre paint it flat black and cut it with tin snips .
And yes I H8mud as well

I remember reading a suggestion like this 15 years back and spraying wd40 or armor all(maybe it was their tire shine) under before a trip with lots of mud and it helped make things clean up much easier.
I’m guessing fluid film would be another option and worth it up north where they salt roads

Club run to Chehalis and Hale Creek today.

Splash pan fell down and was dragging just before back to pavement, no bolts in it at all, just a plastic pin clip...is that normal? Seems like it should have had like 6 bolts holding up?

Newbie here, just bought a GX460 after selling my QX 56. The GX is the perfect size while the QX is way too big. I upgraded the tires to 275/70/18 KO2 tires today, I had to trim the side step plastic and remove the front lower flap in the wheel well. There is absolutely no rubbing. I have also ordered an Ironman 660lbs Nitro lift fit which should be arriving in a few weeks.

@DesiOC,
Your rig is perfect man! Exactly what I’m looking to do with mine. Perfect balance of form and function. I waiting on my dobinsons 2.5 IMS suspension to arrive any day now. Have you noticed any transmission change in behavior? The tire size calculator tells me the 275/70/18 is a 33.2 inch tire, is that correct? Really interested in hearing your overall experience with this setup.

Cam what does EPTX stand for? Anthony

Awesome Look and great Functionality! I want the same thing. I want to be able to to drive to the pig lease and to my stand in the same vehicle.

Will that F sport grill work with Adaptive Cruise hardware?

Dobinsons IMS set at 3." SPC Upper Control Arms. Tires are 285/70/17 Wildpeak AT3Ws. Wheels are zero offset. Had to massage fenderliners, cut body mount and trim running boards.
Thanks much!
Nice! I too am running the 285/70r17 AT3Ws. My wheels are -10 offset and it rubs like a mofo. Have a BMC setup for Saturday morning.
