I am planning on using this as a base for my viper cut. The crash bar takes up so much space, there is no point to do a viper cut.My LFD winch mount arrived!

what winch? you may need one with a removable controller box. not a lfd but similarI am planning on using this as a base for my viper cut. The crash bar takes up so much space, there is no point to do a viper cut.

The turning radius doesn't get mentioned enough. Especially on the trail with Tacomas it's a huge benefit.Went out for a stroll up over 6,000ft to pick some berries with the family. What a fantastic day. Oh, I ****ing love my GX. This thing can go anywhere and has an insanely tight turning radius that both were tested with today. No matter what happens I will always have a GX460 in the fleet.

Absolutely. You really don't need much space to do a turn around in a scenario like say, the damn forest service has a gate closed on a trail and you've already committed to taking it sight unseen. The turning radius doesn't get mentioned enough. Especially on the trail with Tacomas it's a huge benefit.
Likewise, the AWD feature in 4-LO is also pretty awesome. It's great for doing things like backing or pulling trailers up steep hills on wet pavement or gravel. I use it often when pulling our camper into and out of camp spots. Allows for the benefits of low-range gearing while still being able to turn the rig and not break stuff on pavement.Push button center lock is also great for making tight turns
And ATRAC still works. I have forgotten to lock it doing intermediate obstacles.Likewise, the AWD feature in 4-LO is also pretty awesome. I didn't even think of that.Push button center lock is also great for making tight turns
If it drops into a hole.and feels like its going to roll, let go of the brakes and momentum will stabilize the vehicle. Had to do that in a mountain switch back. Was overconfident and not taking into account the additional 180+ lbs of armor on the truck.I didn't even think of that.I'm still a 4WD noob.
Good advice. We have some knarly switchbacks and steep/off camber trails. If it drops into a hole.and feels like its going to roll, let go of the brakes and momentum will stabilize the vehicle. I don't understand either of these statements? Explain to me like I'm retarded (I am).Likewise, the AWD feature in 4-LO is also pretty awesome. It makes a difference when you are aired down and in 4Lo by allowing different drivehaft speeds since each wheel plots a different path with a different length through the corner.I don't understand either of these statements? Explain to me like I'm retarded (I am).
When I'm in 4lo and unlocked it is just as difficult to make a tight turn as in a part time 4wd vehicle. I also don't understand how activating the center lock would change turning radius for the better?
You are saying activating the center diff lock allows for this?It makes a difference when you are aired down and in 4Lo by allowing different drivehaft speeds since each wheel plots a different path with a different length through the corner.
The more traction you have, thr more noticeable it is.
Unlocking it allows for it, otherwise I keep it locked even on gravel. Once I am on loose surface it locks. You are saying activating the center diff lock allows for this?
Ok gotcha. Yeah the physics of locking it to increase turn radius made no sense... Rereading your first post I guess I see how you meant it but the wording makes it sound opposite to that.Unlocking it allows for it, otherwise I keep it locked even on gravel. Once I am on loose surface it locks.
