Here are some less obvious suggestions I have for aftermarket folks based on my initial acquaintance with the GX 550. Some of these are based on my other posts).

Anyone who wants to add to the list, go ahead!

1) We need a mat for the cargo area with a flap that folds out and hangs over the rear bumper. This will allow people to sit in the back, facing outside with their legs hanging out (without touching the dirty bumper)--just like some of us did in the 200 when we had a split hatch. (Note: I'm having one custom-made for me as I type this.)

2) Those of us with the two-row OT need a custom access door for the area beneath cup holder in the trunk on the passenger side. Plenty of room behind the panel there for a battery, recovery kit, bedding, or the like. The area is a closed space right now--such a waste when this vehicle is starving for storage areas.

3) Switch Pros control panel mounting bracket for space between back of battery and the sheet metal.

4) Switch Pros switch mounting bracket for any of the following: middle ridge on dash to left of steering wheel, center console trim between cupholder door and USB jacks, dome lamp area.

5) Sound deadening kit for floor and doors to reduce engine and environment noise.

6) Storage system (maybe pressure fit?) for back side windows, which sit inside deep niches that could be converted into gear storage.

7) 1/2" front and 1/4" rear suspension spacer kit to give an ever so slight lift to help accommodate 35s without compromising the performance of the excellent and sophisticated factory variable suspension or destroying the great down travel and overall articulation of the vehicle. (We urgently need some gentle, non-destructive options for this vehicle!)

8) Air compressor alternatives for cabinet on drivers side of trunk while we wait for Lexus to come out with theirs. This area is likely prewired, and there's a designated 50A fuse slot for it in the engine compartment.

I'm going to mess around with the oem strut spacer for the 200 series on my 250, hopefully this weekend. The spacer is 10mm thick and increased the front ride height around 0.5-1.0" increased travel and didn't reduce the amount of bump travel.

If it gives over that ride height or reduces bump travel, I'll make something that meets those requirements.

The rear should be fairly easy to increase the height using off the shelf spring trim packers.
