GX 470 Price check

so, i found this GX 470 online Used 2003 Lexus GX 470 4dr SUV 4WD for Sale in Lakewood CO 80233 Lakewood Happy Motors mileage for it is at ~186k miles on it. just wanting to make sure this is a good price or not.

Dont know if the timing belt/water pump has been replaced (sent an email asking if it has).

Not sure the market in your area, but here in the Chicago burbs, that's a $7,500-$8,000 truck all day long.

If that truck has lived out west it's whole life there will hardly be a spec of rust on it and potentially worth more than something here in the midwest. Having said that, it still might be high unless there are plenty of service records and has been well cared for. Being at some random car lot, I am guessing it has no records.

Its the cheapest one I have seen here in Colorado so far. Also just ran a cardiac and it's been in Colorado it's whole life. It's had 2 90k mile services done but didn't say if timing belt has been replaced

In my personal opinion I think its over priced by about 3k. I can get you an 05 with roughly 130-140k for around 10k all day long. I know its a bit of a drive but look all over texas for gx`s. Cheapest prices for this area that i have found.

Only issue with that is being able to go get it. The us army doesn't like its people to just run down to other states for things like that. I'll keep looking around

You can create a login profile on the Lexus Owner's website and put the vin in to see what records Lexus has for it.

For me it would depend on how it looks up close. Saw a black one in CA and the pictures looked nice, but up close it didn't.

I think that if it could be purchase for $500-1000 less, and if your happy with it, then it's a good deal. A 90k service should include a TB, but there is no guaranteed of that and then getting the time to go and look at it. Looking at Cargurus.com, GX470 with 165k miles or more range in price from $7,500 to $12,000 with most around $9k

Yeah I looked on the Lexus owners site and it's had every scheduled service but still didn't see anything about timing belt replaced. I would try and get them to drop price if possible. It's been serviced at the same dealer in Lakewood Colorado every time

Army does 250 miles without pass/leave or state lines here at ft Carson and we just had a few people get into a lot of trouble for going outside of that

A lot has changed since I was in the military. On leave I could even fly to another country. You weren't supposed to travel more than 250 miles without being on leave.

I can put leave in and go almost anywhere but it's got to be put in Atleast 2 weeks in advance so something impromptu like going to see/buy a car a few states away is kind of a no go. Plus with way things are and then pushing people out any kind of an infraction is an excuse to boot people and I'm not gonna screw 12 years away.
