I drive an FJ62, but my daughter has a 2008 GX 470. I rode about 900 miles this past week in it, and have two basic questions I am hoping I can get answered here.
1. The 115V outlet. The owners manual shows a image of it being somewhere near the back of the 2nd row driver's seat. I can't find it. Can someone give me some details? The switch on the left side of the lower dash is there.
2. It has the Mark Levinson audio system with NAV. There is a 'AM/SAT' button, and the manuals tell me that pushing that button more than once should take her to the SAT menu. It does not. I saw a post where someone said something about the original owner not activating the SAT feature, so they didn't have it. Is that a real issue? The manual did not make it sound like the button would be there but the SAT feature would not. Is there a way to verify whether the electronics are truly there or not?

Passenger side, behind the 2nd row. It's a pretty small little flap, but it is there. I had trouble finding mine too. It's easier to find if the third row is gone.

They all have the button, but may not have the tuner/antenna. Pretty common on Toyotas/Lexus. My 2009 has the button but i don't have Sat, so you would have to add the OEM tuner/antenna ($$$$) or a Vais-Tech box (about $300) that integrates into the OEM system. You can check using diagnostic mode detailed in the PDF attached to this thread: cd won't load - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion
