I will try
@Sixto Lezcano: I'm confused with the front jacking point from this FSM. Looks from the picture in 2003-2008lexusgx470.pdf that it is the skid plate under the oil pan (?) That location is where the cutout is to access the drain plug...

I used the front skid plate that has a square box on top of the plate. Mine is 2009 and the part number of the skid plates look to be the same for 2003-2008. Appreciate the clarifications. Thanks.

I use the front crossmember which I *think* the FSM is pointing too. It is under one of the factory skid plates but I cannot recall which off top of my head. Anyway, if you get under the gx and look it’s fairly straightforward where to jack. I just did this a few weeks ago, the skid plate doesn’t get damaged or anything. But definitely triple check you have jack on crossmember. Hopefully another, smarter forum member can explain better or correct me if I’m wrong. Attaching a pic of frame with crossmember circled, hth.

The OEM front plate has a reinforced area in the center that lines up with that front crossmember that is meant to sustain the weight of the truck when jacking it up from the front. I believe some of the aftermarket skids do as well but can't confirm that personally. The second "skid plate" is the one with the cutout for the engine oil drain.

Here's a couple of pictures to show what I mean. I swiped these from an old "for sale" post on this forum.

Thanks. That's where I jacked last time and have been assuming so far. But this picture from that pdf file gave me a pause...

perhaps documentation error...

I have a 2008 and the files are fine. I know the older years have a few differences but for the most part these are what you need.
