This site has been an enormous help for me over the past month. We've owned our GX since 2008 and while she is no longer an everyday driver for us, i didn't want to sell the truck but rather keep it and begin to transform it from a stock SUV to a fun vehicle I'll drive maybe 8k miles per year. This car will haul stuff i don't want to haul in our other car, will pack numerous kids around with dirty football cleats and perhaps hit the mountains here soon as well.

Ordered 1.25" spacers. Love this addition. Also prepped and painted the OEM wheels with VHT wheel paint. Tires are 265-70-17 and did require me to cut and modify several things. Did cut and hammer the pinch weld on both sides. Tires are Goodyear Ultra Terrain. Added tint to front drivers and passenger side and removed factory rear air suspension. Replaced with cheap Suncore springs and shocks. Will lift the front 2" and rear 1/2" in two weeks. Waiting for parts.

I installed a 14" Magnaflow muffler. Removed the OEM muffler and resonator. LOVE how it turned out. Definitely worth a couple hundred bucks. Not sure how to post a video but happy with the results.

After lift might throw some kind of roof rack on and then call it good for a bit. Need to replace valve cover gaskets and looking for a device for my phone to connect to the audio system. Had several blown speakers but just siliconed the hell out of them and so far so good. I know that's a crappy way to repair speakers but again, this isn't a primary driver and so far it's worked. 👍

Anyhow, excellent site for GX mods.

I replaced my leaky airbags. The fittings on my one ones were so rusted over, I had to cut the lines to get it off. Luckily it was still long enough to get into the new airbags. My new ones are arrnots (Part number A-2949).

Great idea. Love the stock ride in these.

Yikes, that's a lot of rust for sure. Glad you were able to work it out.

Yesterday i discovered i have a sticky caliper. Going to try to "unstick" before buying a new one. I might have junked it up when i spray painted the calipers a few days ago.
